Comfy Product Research: Giving people agency in their experience in buildings
VP of Product and Design - Comfy
I will share some of what we’ve learned from the development of Comfy through interdisciplinary efforts in design research, UX and behavioral design, machine learning, and software and building engineering. We'll discuss some of our recent and upcoming efforts to develop new solutions that improve the user experience of the workplace environment and ensure buildings operate more efficiently with user feedback.
Beau is the VP of Product and Design at Comfy, leading product research, prototyping, and directing product and brand design. Comfy is an Oakland-based startup developing intelligent, people-centered software for commercial buildings. Before Comfy, he was an Interaction and Environments Designer at IDEO for 7 years working with clients including Microsoft, The American Red Cross, The US Green Building Council, Bank of America, Samsung, and the Stanford d.School. He holds a Masters in Architecture from UC Berkeley.
